Soonercon is run entirely by volunteers.
Soonercon is run entirely by volunteers and would not be possible without the effort and support of many amazing individuals.
We are a nonprofit convention run by The Future Society of Central Oklahoma, a 501(c)3 public charity.
Why volunteer at Soonercon?
Volunteers aren’t paid for their hours, but they do receive excellent perks:
- Volunteer 4 hours: You get a sense of accomplishment and a weekend membership
- Volunteer 8 hours: You get a sense of accomplishment, a t-shirt, a weekend membership, and one Green Room meal pass
- Volunteer 12 hours: You get a sense of accomplishment, a t-shirt, a weekend membership, and two Green Room meal passes
- Volunteer 16 hours: You get a sense of accomplishment, a t-shirt, a weekend membership, and three Green Room meal passes
- Join the planning committee: The biggest sense of accomplishment, a t-shirt, weekend membership, full weekend green room access – no limits, committee get togethers, 25% discount at the Con Store

- Watch your inbox for further information, including a background check request, volunteer training and meetups, shift signups, Discord invitation, and more.
- Show up at Soonercon and help make it the best experience yet!
